🟦 SHILOH TRAIL BOARDING CO. — POLICIES

1. Boarding & Daycare Eligibility

For the safety of all pets in our care, all dogs must:

  • Be current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHLPP), and Bordetella vaccines

  • Be free of contagious illness, fleas, or parasites

  • Be non-aggressive toward people and other dogs

  • Be at least 4 months of age

  • Be spayed/neutered if over 1 year old (exceptions considered case-by-case)

We reserve the right to decline any dog who may pose a risk to themselves, others, or our home environment.

2. Private Residence Disclosure

Shiloh Trail Boarding Co. operates out of a licensed and insured private residence, not a commercial kennel facility.
All dogs are cared for in a home environment with structured supervision, outdoor time, and designated rest areas.

Clients booking our services acknowledge this setup and consent to pet care in a private home setting.

3. Hours of Operation

Check-In / Drop-Off:
7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Check-Out / Pick-Up:
7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Late Pickups (After 8:00 PM):
Daycare automatically converts to Overnight Boarding Rate.

4. Holiday Rates

Holiday pricing applies during peak periods, including:

  • New Year’s Eve & Day

  • Easter Weekend

  • Memorial Day Weekend

  • July 4th

  • Labor Day Weekend

  • Thanksgiving Week

  • Christmas Week & Christmas Eve/Day

Boarding & Daycare holiday rates will apply for stays falling on these dates.

5. Multi-Dog Policy

Dogs from the same household may board together and will receive a per-night discounted rate for additional pets.
Dogs must get along safely when housed in the same space.

Shiloh Trail Boarding Co. reserves the right to separate dogs if necessary.

6. Food, Medication & Belongings

Please bring:

  • Your dog’s regular food (labeled)

  • Any medication with clear written instructions

  • A leash and collar/harness

Optional items: bed, blanket, or favorite toy.
We are not responsible for damage to personal items left with your dog.

Medications are administered as instructed but must not require medical training (no injections).

7. Health, Illness & Emergency Care

If your dog becomes ill or injured while in our care:

  • We will contact you immediately

  • If emergency treatment is required, we will transport your pet to the nearest available veterinarian

  • All veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner

Shiloh Trail Boarding Co. carries pet-care liability insurance, which may cover qualifying incidents; however, owners are primarily responsible for medical expenses beyond insurance-covered scenarios.

8. Behavioral & Safety Policies

Dogs showing excessive aggression, anxiety, or unsafe behaviors may be:

  • Separated

  • Picked up early

  • Declined for future services

  • Returned to owner immediately (without refund for the remaining stay)

This ensures the safety of all dogs, residents, and property.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

Boarding:

  • 48+ hours before check-in → Full refund

  • 24–48 hours before → 50% refund

  • Less than 24 hours → No refund

Daycare:

  • No refunds after drop-off

  • Same-day cancellations may receive credit at our discretion

Holiday bookings:
Require full payment and are non-refundable within 7 days of the holiday date.

10. Photo & Video Policy

We may take photos or videos of dogs for updates or promotional use.
Owners may decline promotional use by notifying us in writing.

11. Payment Policy

All stays must be paid via Squarespace checkout prior to the stay.
Bookings are not guaranteed until payment is received.

🟪 TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between Shiloh Trail Boarding Co. (“Provider”) and the dog owner (“Client”).

1. Assumption of Risk

Client understands and acknowledges that:

  • Dogs may be exposed to inherent risks associated with boarding/daycare

  • The Provider operates within a private residence

  • Other dogs may be present during the stay

  • Even well-supervised environments carry risks of injury, illness, stress, or escape

The Client voluntarily accepts these risks.

2. Insurance Disclosure

Shiloh Trail Boarding Co. maintains pet-care liability insurance to protect against qualifying incidents.
This insurance:

  • Covers certain accidental injuries

  • Does not replace veterinary care, personal property coverage, or owner financial responsibility

  • May not cover pre-existing conditions or behavioral incidents

  • Is subject to insurer rules and exclusions

Client agrees they remain financially responsible for their pet’s health needs beyond insurance coverage.

3. Veterinary Authorization

Client authorizes the Provider to:

  • Obtain emergency veterinary care

  • Make decisions regarding treatment if Client is unreachable

  • Transport the dog if necessary

Client agrees to pay all veterinary charges, including those not covered by insurance.

4. Health Warranty

Client certifies that their dog:

  • Is in good overall health

  • Is free from contagious disease

  • Is current on required vaccinations

  • Has not bitten any person or animal

  • Has no known behavioral issues that would endanger others

The Provider may refuse service at any time based on health or safety concerns.

5. Behavioral Responsibility

Client acknowledges they are responsible for:

  • Any injury inflicted by their dog

  • Any damage to property or animals caused by their dog

  • Ensuring their dog is safe to board around other animals

The Provider is not liable for injuries resulting from aggression, rough play, anxiety, or destructive behavior.

6. Personal Items

Client understands that:

  • Personal belongings may be damaged or lost

  • The Provider is not financially responsible for such items

  • Damage to Provider’s property caused by the dog will be billed to the Client

7. Payments, Refunds & Fees

Client agrees to:

  • Pay all charges prior to the start of the stay

  • Authorize additional charges for extended stay, late pickup, add-ons, or damages

  • Follow the Provider’s refund policy as stated in the Policies

8. Abandonment Clause

If a dog is not picked up within 72 hours of scheduled pickup and the Provider cannot reach the Client or emergency contact, the Provider may:

  • Seek alternate care,

  • Transfer the dog to animal control,

  • Or take action permitted under state law

Client remains responsible for all costs incurred.

9. Hold Harmless Agreement

Client agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Shiloh Trail Boarding Co. and its owners from:

  • Claims of injury

  • Illness

  • Loss

  • Liability

  • Damage
    related to the Client’s pet, except where negligence by the Provider is legally proven.

10. Agreement to Terms

By booking with Shiloh Trail Boarding Co., the Client confirms that they:

  • Have read these Policies and Terms & Conditions

  • Understand and agree to them

  • Accept all associated risks

  • Authorize care for their dog according to this agreement

Submission of a booking request or payment indicates full acceptance of these terms.
